I designed this table for college students. It can be a shelf, a small table. 

It can have different configuration to fit different needs.

It has possibility to hold a table top to be a coffee table.

Or use it vertically as a magazing rack.

When used seperately it can be two bed tables. I also put the leather top so it has a nice surface.

The slots made it easy for the two parts to slide in and out.

Process:

 

I started it by making 1:3 scale model.

I did like the functionality and possibilities this form creates but the angle is not idea. I made them 135 degree so the two legs and meet at a right angle which makes the slot cutting a lot eaiser. However the legs aprears to be too spread out. I made several sets of drawings and decided that 110 degree is the best angle. I just have to thnk about how to cut the angled slots.

I started making the full size table after making some revision on my model.

Because the table saw blade can only cut anlges less than 90 degree, I have to cut the other side by hand.

A lot of sanding overall, I also sanded down the top to creat an indent to put a piece of leather on top.
